Periodic Updates -
This is an unofficial publication as the Minutes are the official meeting records.
SMOKING - There have been some nuisance complaints from residents on the 7th floor about obnoxious cigarette smoke being detected in their homes. Another is from cigar smoke on the western side of the building. Smoking is not permitted inside your home or outside, by rule which may also be enforced outside through the City of Coronado.
Board of Directors – The Association’s Bylaws require a new board of directors to be elected by the Members (Owners) every year. The candidates for this year’s election are: Jan Zobrist, Tom Vince, Kevin McAuliffe, Ron Leeds, Harvey Friedman, Bob Grosnoff, Walt Booker and Moises Abadi. The election ballot with voting instructions has been mailed to each Member.
Meet the Candidates – There will be a Meet the Candidates event next Tuesday, June 18th, in the Lobby. This is for Members only. Please attend the event to hear from the candidates. The event begins at 5:00 P.M. with a (no cost) wine and cheese type social, followed by the main event, introducing the candidates to you and hearing from the candidates. This event should end at 6:00 P.M.
Air Conditioning – Because the cooling tower and every unit’s heat pump(s) have been replaced, it is suggested that you try your heat pump air conditioning for a few minutes to make sure it will work when needed and not wait until there is a hot spell. If your heat pump needs to be replaced, ordering a replacement could take weeks. So, assessing it now would be proactive.
Parking Spaces – Please make certain your vehicles park within the perimeter lines of your
parking space and not on or over the lines. The lines, and spaces between the lines are Common Area, and not to be intruded into. Generally, this gives neighboring vehicle passengers better ability to open vehicle doors; and allows maintenance personnel a clear path between vehicles.
Also, some parking spaces have car covers, bikes, and other objects which are not allowed or strewn about. Please don’t leave unauthorized items in your storage space, and make sure the authorized items are “organized”.
Vehicle Moving – Because of the need to access plumbing or fire lines, for example, sometimes a vehicle is parked where urgent/emergency work needs to be done. If you are leaving a vehicle in the garage, please leave a set of keys here so someone can move your vehicle promptly. Sometimes towing is our last resort. Please consider we have a KeyTrak at the front desk for all unit keys and other keys. If you leave a vehicle here while away, you could have the staff secure them in our KeyTrak system, so if in an emergency, the keys could be retrieved, so the vehicle could be temporarily relocated.
Summer Moratorium – As a reminder, the Summer Moratorium requires contractors to not park on campus after June 17th and service providers to not park on campus beginning June 24th.
