Periodic Updates -

This is an unofficial publication as the Minutes are the official meeting records.

Annual Meeting Highlights – the Members of the Association (Coronado Shores Condominium Association No 10), met Saturday July 27th at the Roeder Pavilion, for their Annual Meeting.  Board of Director met July 23, 2019.   Before the meeting began the Members enjoyed the catered breakfast.  Mr. Ron Leeds gave the Presidents report to the Members, in which he described what transpired in the past year and what remained to be done.  Mr. Vince provided the Treasurer’s report as well.  The various L&R Committee representatives provided their reports too.  Kathryn Grosnoff was honored with a service award and a fountain pen for her years of service to La Princesa.  Jeff French, the association’s attorney and volunteer counters, opened the ballots and tabulated the vote counts for the new board of directors.  The new board of directors are:
  • Kevin McAuliffe – President
  • Thomas Vince – Vice President
  • Harvey Friedman – Secretary
  • Bob Grosnoff – Treasurer
  • Moises Abadi – Director
Following their election, the new board met in Open Session to elect officers of the corporation, the officer titles follow their names as provided above.  Congratulations to one and all.

The Board of Directors then reviewed and appointed themselves and others to represent the Association at the various L&R committee meetings.

The Parking Lottery envelopes were also drawn under Jeff French’s control with the winners announced.
The attendance by the Members continue to be quite low.   That was unfortunate, because this is the Members meeting, not a Board of Directors meeting.  There were no concerns raised by the Members, nor were there any comments, when asked.   Hopefully at next year’s meeting there will be a better turn out, and more participation so the new Directors can better represent you, the Members.

Garage Appearance – You are reminded that although the Summer rules for storing bikes and beach items allows more items in your parking space, the rules need to be followed.   Some spaces are unkempt and are being reported to the front desk for the Association to take action.  Please keep the items stored in your parking space neatly stored.  Not stored so you can’t get your vehicle into your parking space.   You are also reminded you cannot store items in Common Areas…which also means in between parking space lines.

Trash – Recently it was reported a trash room was so filled with empty Amazon type of boxes that residents could not get in to dispose of their own trash.  Boxes should be “flattened” and taken to the Lobby level trash container area.  This takes the staff time to work on doing this for one family and takes away from their work for the entire Association.

Plumbing - The past few weeks there were a number of plumbing problems that could have been prevented.  Here is a sampling:
  • A leaking bathtub spout leaked behind the bath tub onto the ceiling of the unit below causing an expense and inconvenience to the unit below.
  • A unit owner wanted a kitchen faucet replaced (during Summer Moratorium), but the angle stops did not work to shut the water off.  Please have your unit’s angle stops replaced from September through May.  It is so much easier.
  • Another plastic bag was found in a drain line.
